DPA Q4 2020 NEWSLETTER

As 2020 (thankfully) draws to a close, I just want to once again thank all of you for the tremendous work you are doing to support your health centers during this national pandemic. In many cases, those of you who work in purchasing and supply chain are being asked to do more with less, and you’re all rising to the challenge. I hope the Delta Purchasing Alliance (“DPA”) continues to be a valuable resource for you as we begin to turn the corner into 2021.

In this newsletter I am excited to officially announce our new three-year agreement renewal with McKesson. The new agreement lowers our distributor mark-up on GPO contract medical supplies and equipment, resulting in several thousand dollars of additional annual savings to each of your health centers.  McKesson has been a strong DPA partner since our inception in 2016, and their willingness to once again reduce distributor mark-up is a reflection on the fact that the DPA members—all of you—are honoring our compliance commitments to put most of our purchasing volume through the McKesson channel and to pay our McKesson bills on time. Thank you.

This newsletter also highlights two of our newer cost-saving agreements: (1) the DPA agreement with Language Services Associates (LSA) for patient translation services (telephone and video), and (2) our new preferred pricing program with Benco for dental supplies and equipment.  I encourage you to take a look at these opportunities, as the pricing being offered to DPA members is very aggressive.

Finally, we’re very grateful to be entering 2021 with two new DPA members: Heartland Community Health Center (Lawrence, KS) and Primary Health Solutions (Hamilton, OH). Welcome to the DPA!
