One of the unique aspects of DPA membership is our annual DPA Purchasing Managers Meeting. Our goal is to bring together once a year our health center members so they can network with each other and learn more about supply chain and procurement best practices. We also use the DPA Purchasing Managers Meeting as an opportunity to bring in key DPA partners such as McKesson, NACHC Community Health Ventures, Benco and others. This allows our health center staff the chance to meet one-on-one with our partners to learn about new opportunities, share any service/pricing concerns, and to get updates on upcoming savings opportunities.
This meeting is open to health center purchasing managers, CFOs, supply chain staff or anyone at your health center who would benefit from networking with your peers engaged in procurement. In 2021, we will hold the DPA Purchasing Managers Meeting in Las Vegas in conjunction with the NACHC Financial, Operations Management/IT (FOM/IT) conference. Details on the FOM/IT can be found at https://www.nachc.org/conferences/fomit/, including details on lodging and preferred room rates at Caesars Palace.
- This year’s DPA Purchasing Managers Meeting will be held at Caesars Palace on October 18, 2021. This is the day prior to the start of the FOM/IT conference, so you can certainly attend both meetings if you’d like.
- We are currently working on the DPA Purchasing Managers Meeting agenda and will share that with you when it is available. We will plan to have a mix of learning sessions/panels comprised of your peers at other DPA member health centers, along with informational and Q&A sessions with the DPA’s current and prospective vendor partners. We anticipate the meeting will run from 8am-4pm on October 18, 2021, with breakfast and lunch provided. We’ll build into the agenda sufficient breaks so you’ll have the opportunity to stay in touch with your office or catch-up on emails.
- We will also have a happy hour or “meet and greet” following our meeting on October 18 so you can network with your health center peers and our DPA partners in a more informal setting. Details to be announced.
- There is no cost to attend the DPA Purchasing Managers Meeting (other than, of course, your travel and lodging).
